The Foundation is excited to welcome it’s newest Faculty Member, Dr. Prize McApreko to the Youth Bridge Research Institute.
Dr. Prize is an astute and consummate academician and a Senior Lecturer in Peace and Human Security at the Department of Sustainable Development and Policy (DSDP), University of Environment and Sustainable Development – Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Dr. Prize McApreko earned his Masters (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) (Cum Laude) degrees in International Studies in Peace, Conflict and Development with emphasis on Human Rights as a tool for Peace and Human Security under the distinguished auspices of the UNESCO Chair of Philosophy for Peace, Universitat Jaume I, Castellon, Spain where he was the recipient of the University’s prestigious Peace Programme Ambassador Extra-ordinary award (2016).
Dr. Prize McApreko joins the Youth Bridge Foundation with a broad spectrum of international engagements including Consultancy to the Africa Peace and Security Programme (APSP), the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS), Addis Ababa University (AAU), Ethiopia (2012-2013).
He has also provided consultancy to UNDP-Ghana in collaboration with the Peace Council of Ghana to provide Nationwide Training on Early Warning and Response for the Governing Board members, National and Regional Peace Councils, of Ghana (2016).
Additionally, he served as the pioneer Director / Growth and Activism Support Coordinator of Amnesty International – Ghana between 2004 and 2007.
He is currently the Country Director for (DEEP) Network – Ghana: (Dialogue, Empathy Ecology and Peace-building) Network: a global community of academics, peace researchers and peace workers from diverse cultural backgrounds across the world, dedicated and committed to building a peaceful world and fostering social and ecological regeneration.
